"It all started with LCA. I had great support from people like Mrs. Schuhmacher and many more LCA faculty, staff, friends and families who helped my family in difficult situations and teachers who invested in me."

Director of Domestic Admission: Ryan Patrie '03

I still remember my student experience day as a prospective student visiting LCA for the first time. I encountered a community of welcoming people who were truly excited about their school. It was an easy decision to spend my upper school years at LCA. I enjoyed many of the great opportunities LCA offered, made lifelong friends, pursued my passions in co-curricular activities such as athletics and school leadership, and had faculty who ignited a love for learning.

Today, I am blessed to serve this community as the Director of Domestic Admission as I get to tell the LCA story to prospective students and families. LCA remains a community is pursuit of excellence and glorifying God in all areas while focused on educating the whole person - heart, mind, body, and soul. Students do not just receive in education, they are prepared for life.

If your student is interested in LCA, please reach out to me. I'd love to speak with you about this excellent community and have you visit our campus to the experience LCA difference.

Director of International Admission: Cynthia Torjesen

My first look at LCA started as a parent looking for a school that was just the right fit for my child. As a former teacher, I was looking for a strong academic program that would prepare students well for college; as a mom I was looking for a place where my child would be known and where his unique qualities would be respected. After looking at many schools, I realized that LCA was just the right place for our family.

Now, in my role as Director of International Admission, I am pleased to share the many opportunities at LCA with families all around the globe. At LCA, students learn to write well across the disciplines; they are challenged and offered many opportunities – whether through an Interim course, our Concentrations Program, or Senior Internships, students are given the tools to grow and stretch themselves.

Come and visit – our Admissions Team would love to share the LCA story with you and tell you why we believe that LCA could be just the right place for your child!
