Congratulations to the 2015 Hall of Fame Inductees

On Friday evening, December 18, 2015, the 2015 CHS/LCA Athletic Hall of Fame Induction ceremony was hosted in the Phillips library. Ken Ludwig ’85 (In memoriam), Jason Reynolds ’86, and the 2000 Varsity Softball Team were selected by the Hall of Fame Committee for induction. LCA Head of School, Tim Russell, welcomed and congratulated the inductees as well as expressed gratitude for their efforts, outstanding accomplishments, and their exemplary representation of LCA. Ryan Patrie ’03, LCA Athletic Director, who presided over the ceremony remarked “We as a community are blessed to honor these LCA alumni for their athletic accomplishments. Their involvement in LCA athletics had a profound impact on their lives just as they made a great impact on our programs!”

Ken Ludwig '85 (In Memoriam)

A dedicated leader and teammate, Ken was the Boys Varsity Soccer captain in 1983 and 1984. In his senior season he led the team with 20 goals and 10 assists. Ken led his team to the 2nd round of the MIAA tournament, was selected Eastern League Player of the Year, Eastern League All Star, and Eastern Mass All-Star. Ken received a scholarship to attend Randolph-Macon College where he played on the Yellow Jackets Men’s Soccer team.

Jason Reynolds ’86

An outstanding student-athlete, Jason was a leader on the soccer and baseball fields. He captained his teams during his junior and senior years and was selected Eastern League All-League and Eastern Mass All-Star for baseball and soccer during those seasons. The 1985 National Honor Society inductee also received the 1985-86 Boys’ Coaches Award.

2000 Varsity Softball Team

The Varsity Softball team displayed team work and a commitment to excellence throughout the 2000 season. Led by Coaches Wendy Lippmann and Irene Campbell, the team went 8-0 in league play capturing the first Eastern Independent League Championship in team history. Head Coach Wendy Lippmann was voted EIL Coach of the Year, while starting pitcher Liane Christopher '00 was voted EIL Player of the Year in 2000.
