The LCA community is comprised of exceptionally talented students-athletes. Catalina Lazzarino '21 and Sara Campos '23 are both competitive figure skaters with Hayden Synchronized Skating, based here in Lexington. Both young ladies recently competed at the 2018 National Synchronized Skating Championships in Portland, Oregon.
Lazzarino's team, Star Mates, performed a very difficult program and finished in 5th place with a score of 58.21. The scores from 2nd to 5th were exceptionally close (under two points difference).

Campos' team, Mini Mates, had a terrific performance and captured the 2018 National Juvenile Division Championship!
Both girls work exceptionally hard, training upwards of 20 hours a week. The sport of synchronized skating requires exceptional team work and lots of practice.
Congratulations to Catalina and Sara and their teams on competing at Nationals and for being great ambassadors of LCA.
