Who We Are

Lexington Christian Academy is an independent, college preparatory, day and boarding school educating students in grades 6-12.

At Lexington Christian Academy we believe that every student can thrive in school, and we work to create spaces to make that belief a reality. We strive to develop well-rounded and multi-dimensional people, focusing on engaging the heart, mind, body, and soul of everyone in our community.

Core Values

GLORIFYING GOD – We seek to glorify God in all of our activities, relationships, and stewardship of the resources He has given us.

PARTNERSHIP – We view the education of children as a partnership between parents and the academy.

TRUTH – We acknowledge absolute truth, as revealed in God's Word and His creation.

RESPECT – Each person is created in God's image and will therefore be treated with respect.

EXCELLENCE – Continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence underlies all that we do.

HONESTY – Our relationships and academic performance will be based on honesty and executed in fairness.

Lexington Christian Academy is an independent preparatory school that exists to educate young men and women in the arts and sciences in the context of a complete commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Founded in 1946, Lexington Christian Academy provides exceptional academic preparation that nurtures the whole person: heart, mind, body and soul. Since then, LCA has operated with the belief that faith and learning are key and inseparable components of Christian education. A deep quest for truth and knowledge, paired with critical thinking are made complete, not compromised, by a sincere faith.

We believe a great education is one that cultivates the whole person– Heart, Mind, Body, and Soul.

“LCA has been a great opportunity for me because the Christian environment creates an atmosphere that allows people to speak about life productively. This atmosphere is one that allows Christians and non-Christians alike to voice their opinions and feel welcomed at LCA.I personally believe that this environment is what has made me want to understand the things that occur in the world."

“Dr. Clark has helped me to understand how science and God can be compatible and how rewarding it can be to study the universe He has perfectly made. She supports her students outside of the classroom, as well. I am forever thankful to Dr. Clark for piquing my interest in science and advising me in my journey with biology.”

“I appreciated being involved in a smaller, more intimate environment where a teacher could pull you aside and say, “Wow, you can sing.” I don’t think that happens at a bigger school. And that happened across the board at LCA. I met Coach Campbell and she encouraged me to play sports. Everywhere I went there was someone in authority that was a mentor and encouraging me-drama, music, sports, academics.”
– Keri Claiborne Boyle '91, Author and Triathlete

“Throughout Kevin’s four years at LCA, it was really an education for me as well. The best school is not necessarily only focused on a single factor; is it focused on actually nurturing every aspect of the student.”
