“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind." (Luke 10:28)

The emphasis on heart, mind, body, and soul is essential here at Lexington Christian Academy. Each day I experience glimpses of the incredible power of this focus throughout our campus.

I witness the many ways our students develop strong and perceptive minds during their years here at the Academy. In and out of the classroom, our faculty create diverse and challenging learning experiences that intellectually prepare students for college.

I am amazed by the ways students develop their physical competence, often in ways new and unexpected. I’ll see a student excelling one season on the court or field, and then the next season on stage.

But what really sets our students apart is the integration of heart and soul into who they are and what they do. Students learn the power of teamwork. They learn the power of their actions off the field and behind the stage. I see older students nurturing younger ones. I see students challenging each other, agreeing and disagreeing, seeking greater truth and understanding.

Nothing makes me more proud then when I receive validations of this in action. Just recently a referee sent us a note, surprised and encouraged by the character displayed by our soccer players.

How creative our God is! And how important it is to encourage students to discover and refine their many abilities. When we look at our students, we see image-bearers of God. Uniquely created. Uniquely talented. As we see the potential in each of them, we also see the beauty of our work: to tend the possibilities within each student.

At Lexington Christian Academy, we have the unique opportunity to cultivate this entire person—heart, mind, body and soul. We know that with the healthy integration of each of these parts, we best encourage our students to become—most fully—who God created them to be.

We welcome you to a world of possibility here at LCA, and we look forward to growing with you and your family.
