2017 Girls' Varsity Soccer

LCA Girls Soccer Overview

Recent team accomplishments have demonstrated LCA Girls Varsity Soccer to be a potential standard for soccer excellence, as it has three NEPSAC Class D Championship appearances since 2001, including the Championship trophy from 2004.  LCA was quarterfinalists in the 2013 NEPSAC Class C tournament and were selected as the #4 overall seed. The team has also been EIL Champions (2003, 2005, 2012) three times in the last 10 years. In addition to the winning tradition of the program, the team was recognized as Massachusetts All-Academic 1st Place Winners for 4 straight years, 2005-2008. In 2012 & 2013, LCA finished with an overall record of 15-2-1 winning the EIL title in 2012. The team qualified as the #4 seed in the NEPSAC Class C Tournament in 2013. They were elimated in the quarterfinals after being tied 2-2 following regulation and overtime and losing 5-4 in 7 rounds of penalty kicks by Brewster Academy.

The 2015 season was the 23rd in the program's history. Starting in 1993, the program was started and coached by LCA alum, Scott Stevens '87. Coach Stevens coached the program for 16 years. Throughout its history the program has graduated student-athletes that have gone on to play college soccer at the NCAA, NAIA, or club level at the following institutions: Hofstra University, Taylor University (IN), Wheaton College (IL), Calvin College, Merrimack College, Gordon College, Syracuse University, Eastern Nazarene College, Elon University, and Georgetown University.
