Posted 05/02/2016 09:22AM

In an all school assembly on Friday morning, April 29th, it was announced that three Lady Lions Varsity soccer players were selected to the National Christian School Athletic Association’s (NCSAA) Northeast Super Regional team: defender Courtney Teehan ’16, and midfielders Meaghan Hayes ’16  and Shae Roys ’16. Additionally, Hayes and Roys were selected as 1st team All American.

Teehan was arguably the Eastern Independent League’s top defender and was also selected as EIL All-League. Hayes finished the 2015 season with 18 goals and 17 assists, finished 3rd in the EIL in points, and was also selected EIL All-League. Roys led the EIL with 18 assists, chipped in 15 goals, and was also selected EIL All-League. Roys was also named NCSAA 1st Team All-American in 2014 and has committed to play soccer at NCAA Division 2 South New Hampshire University next fall.

"All three young women were great captains for our program last fall and contributed greatly to the success of the program over the last four years," said Head Coach Ryan Patrie, "Their ability, but more importantly their leadership and competitive spirit will be missed. This is a great honor for all three and their team is extremely proud of them."

Congratulations Lady Lions on this great accomplishment! To read the NCSAA press release visit the NCSAA Girls Soccer Fall Awards page.
