Health & Physical Education

LCA’s program emphasizes the importance of physical fitness, and students are expected to work toward proficiency of individual skills through the team concept and through competition. Students are encouraged to develop positive values and attitudes that are important in every area of life. The gymnasium, playing fields, tennis courts, and the rock wall provide for varied activities in Health & Physical Education classes and in interscholastic athletics.

Interscholastic competition is available at all grade levels and required at the Middle School level, one team per year. The boys and girls teams compete in the Eastern Independent School League. The Academy is also a member of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council.

Upper School health & physical education classes include:

  • Health   9-12
  • Physical Education 9-12

Middle School health & physical education classes include:

  • Health   6-8
  • Physical Education 6-8
