"The teachers put everything they had into teaching. They took the time to talk to you.
A lot of people laid the groundwork for my faith here."

Academics

Our curriculum integrates the Christian faith with each subject. Students are taught how to ask bold questions and discover authentic answers. LCA joins the list of exemplary Christian schools which comprise less than two percent of the 1,000 ACSI accredited schools.

Meet the Directors

Director of Middle School, Director of Studies: Dr. Kim Winsor

I love to work with middle school students because they see life as an adventure. They are willing to take risks and have fun. Together we have fun learning about the world that God has created. Having taught students at all ages from pre-school through graduate school, middle school remains my favorite. I have been working with middle school students at LCA for 34 years. The middle school team is a great group of teachers with many years of experience who challenge their students intellectually and nurture them as individuals.

Director of Upper School: James Talkington

I love seeing how our community opens a door for students to excel no matter who they are. We are big enough that we can provide both a robust core curriculum and a breadth of electives. And we are small enough that we really know our students. Here, being geeky is cool, being athletic is smart, and being pensive is popular. My colleagues and I are serious about helping young women and men discover and grow into their passions. I am so proud to be part of this family.
