The Lions basketball teams had five players receive post season recognition for their winter efforts. The girls team had strong representation, finishing second in the EIL, and with four players earning EIL nods. The junior duo, Vicky Nguyen and Kallen Roys were named to the EIL All-League first team while teammates Emily Schuh and Sarah Pitan both earned Honorable Mention. Additionally, Nguyen, who led the EIL in scoring with 13 points per game, was named to the NEPSAC All-Star team.

The boys were represented by junior point guard Christian Schmidt who was named EIL All League Honorable Mention. Schmidt had a strong season, averaging 10.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game for the Lions. Teammate Nathan Grimley led the team in scoring at 11.9 points per game while hitting at least one three pointer in every game and racking up 57 three’s for the season. The boys ended their season with a win over Portsmouth Abbey in the EIL B Pool Consolation game. Senior Joey DeFrancesco had a career night in his last game for LCA dropping 20 points and netting 5 three-pointers. Schmidt had 18, Nathan Grimley added 14, and freshman Nick Turgiss had a season high 10 points in each of his final two games.
