Celebrating the Arts at LCA
Thursday, May 23rd
Lexington Christian Academy Artsfest
In the arts classrooms, students are focused on acquiring skills, mastering techniques, fostering creativity and artistry, and understanding a breadth of repertoire in a variety of genres. Daily work is about improving and bettering oneself as well as knowing how to appropriately respond to one’s instructors and peers. This self-focus is an important part of developing oneself as an artist.
Our Fine Arts Faculty know that in addition to the private work individuals and ensembles must do to perfect their art, art is also meant to be shared. Art is meant to inspire, soothe, energize, bless, encourage, comfort, as well as many other things. Art is as much for the audience as it is for the artists themselves. We are committed to providing a variety of performance opportunities so that students may learn that vital part of their craft.
LCA's Artsfest is a time of celebrating the creativity and talents of the Music, Theatre and Visual Arts students.
