Academic Conferences at LCA
Ask hard questions. Seek truth together.
LCA invests in nurturing the conversation about faith and learning. Students want to know where they came from, why they are here, and where they're going. Every year, LCA holds a conference to explore modern-day challenges in education from a Christian worldview, as well as discuss current world issues. Cultivating a spirit of inquiry using the lens of our Christian faith affects our understanding of the world and each academic discipline.
The Cultivating Inquiry Conference gives our teachers the opportunity to explore some of the hard questions we have as educators and continue to refine our own understanding of how to infuse curriculum with Christian thinking. It is our goal to keep a dialogue going with our colleagues so that together we can explore how to effectively give our students the tools they need to ask the questions that will allow them to make the Christian faith their own.
"Does faith in Christ truly work in the real world of Wall Street?"
"How does our faith compete in a world of human loneliness and suffering?"
The Student Veritas Forum is a day set aside for Juniors and Seniors to explore answers to some of the hard-but-true questions of faith, learning, and life. We want to teach students to examine the difference that a foundation built upon Christ's way, truth, and life can make in our lives outside the Academy.
